Wedding Bands & Co. began in 1999 as a small jewelry business founded by Koorosh Daneshgar. In the early years, the company focused on designing jewelry for other jewelers as a wholesaler. Over time, Koorosh opened a modest studio to serve retail clients directly. One of his earliest commissions was for a client who turned out to be a newscaster. Impressed with the design and the experience, that client introduced him to WGN News, which soon featured a segment about his work and design philosophy. The exposure brought the studio into the public eye and introduced Wedding Bands & Co. to a wider Chicago audience.
Following this milestone, the business expanded from a small shop into a larger manufacturing space, allowing production to scale and techniques to advance. The company later operated a prominent shop on the 7th floor of the Mallers Building, also known as the Jewelers Center, located at 5 South Wabash Avenue in Chicago’s Loop. Built in 1912, the Mallers Building is home to more than 180 jewelers and serves as the heart of Chicago’s Jewelers’ Row. After its time there, Wedding Bands & Co. moved to a bigger location on the corner of Madison, in the heart of Wabash Jewelry Road, where it thrived for 10 years.
A long‑time dream was realized when Wedding Bands & Co. relocated to the Gold Coast, establishing itself among other top jewelry designers. This move represented both growth and the fulfillment of a vision to be part of Chicago’s most renowned design community.
Over the course of 25 years, Wedding Bands & Co. has designed for athletes, newscasters, television personalities, and countless individuals celebrating milestones. Most importantly, the studio has worked with over 10,000 couples, creating custom engagement rings and wedding bands that honor their unique love stories.
As Koorosh explains, “My mission is to take responsibility for one of the most meaningful celebrations in a couple’s life, the decision to marry and begin a family.
